Air fares from Pakistan move around a lot. The same seat can be priced very differently depending on the day you search, the airline and even the airport you leave from. You will not always find a bargain, but a few habits can save you real money.
1. Compare more than one airport
If you live in central Punjab, it is worth checking Lahore, Islamabad and Sialkot. Sometimes the saving on the ticket is bigger than the cost of getting to a different airport. Do the sum before you decide.
2. Be flexible with dates
Flying on a Tuesday or Wednesday is often cheaper than a weekend. Moving your trip by even one or two days can change the price noticeably. Most search tools have a flexible date view, so use it.
3. Avoid peak seasons if you can
Eid holidays, summer vacations and the Umrah season in Ramadan push fares up. If you must travel then, book early. If you can choose, travel just before or after the rush.
4. Book at the right time
There is no perfect day to buy. For international routes, searching a couple of months ahead is a good habit, and for peak periods earlier still. Watch the price for a week or two so you know what is normal for your route.
5. Think about connecting flights
A direct flight is more comfortable, but a one stop route can be cheaper. Check how long the layover is. Very short ones risk a missed connection, and very long ones can be tiring. If a connection involves a different country, check whether you need a transit visa.
6. Look at the full price
Some fares exclude baggage, seat selection or meals. A low fare with a heavy baggage fee may cost more than a slightly higher fare that includes your suitcase. Read the fare rules before you pay.
7. Check the airline site
After you find a good price on a comparison site, look at the airline’s own website too. Sometimes it has the same fare with easier change or refund rules.
8. Be careful with unknown sellers
If a price looks too good to be true and the seller is unknown, take care. Ask for the booking reference, check it on the airline website, and never send money to a personal account without a receipt.
9. Get help if your trip is complicated
For family bookings, multi-city trips or group travel, a person who knows the routes can save you time. You can message us on WhatsApp, and our team will look at options with you, or have a look at our flights page.
