For the UK Student visa you need an unconditional offer from a licensed university or college. We guide you from your offer letter all the way to the visa decision.
This checklist is for Pakistani passport holders applying from Pakistan. If you live in another country, the process and documents can be different.
What GOV.UK requires (Student visa)
- A current passport or other valid travel document
- A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a licensed student sponsor
- Proof that you have enough money to pay your course fees and living costs
- Proof of your English language ability
- Tuberculosis (TB) test results, because Pakistan is on the UK’s TB test list
Documents you may also need
- An ATAS certificate, if your course and nationality require it
- Parental consent and your birth certificate if you are under 18
- Written consent from your financial sponsor if they paid your fees and living costs in the last 12 months
- Academic documents listed on your CAS
- Certified translations of documents not in English
Good to know
- Your university issues the CAS only after you accept your offer and meet its conditions.
- The money you need depends on your course and on where in the UK you will study.
